As per information on GigaOm’s Om Malik reports that TechCrunch has found a buyer in AOL.
The talks could still fall apart, but Malik says sources in both camps say the announcement probably will come onstage at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference this week when AOL Chief Executive Tim Armstrong makes an appearance.
San Francisco-based TechCrunch was started in 2005 by Arrington, a lawyer who formerly practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He co-founded an online payments company named Achex in 2000 that was sold the next year for $32 million to First Data Corp.
This is awesome news for TechCrunch crew and breaking for me 🙂 AOL really needs to do something innovative in order to compete current market, acquisition is good but not the best solution. Hope to get best out of this deal.
